This popular family-oriented Community Festival is entering its 22nd year in Perry Square Park, Erie, PA on May 30 – June 2, 2012.
All four days during the festival, the National Touring, Award-Winning BBQ Cooking Teams will be preparing the very best in BBQ cuisine for our visitors.
This “kick-off” event to summer in the region is also host to local and regional stage entertainment, the RIB Kidz FUN ZONE, the BIG Kids Zone, an Arts Market, delicious festival foods, on-site promotions, informational booths, merchandise vendors, product-launches, give-aways, sampling, exhibits, lunchtime entertainment in the dining tents, contests and ice-cold beer on the Plaza.
The Erie Rib Fest takes place each year on the Wednesday following Memorial Day. Even though our social media campaign has already begun to the whet the appetites of our BBQ aficionados, their taste-buds will just have to be patient. The real excitement will begin to unfold at lunchtime on May 30th when the local office workers will vacate their buildings to satisfy their BBQ cravings. The influx will continue with families making their way to downtown, Erie from several local and regional counties in the tri-state area.
